Hello Dear Reader,
Added later - a reader contacted me to tell me that they had won this competition!!!! A Frugal Queen reader got it! Woo - Hoo!!!!!
Keep reading and I will tell you how to enter a competition where you could win £1000 to renovate your home. So far, we’ve double glazed which was a huge expense but the house will be warmer, quieter and cheaper to run. We’ve simplified our garden and we now have a lawn to laze on in the summer evenings. My summer break will feature a lot of house renovation. The fun part is the tiny budget! It can be done.
A small budget mean we are masters of thrift and find creative and inventive ways to paint, decorate and of course do most of the work our selves. This means recovering chairs, altering curtains, making some curtains, making Roman blinds, stripping wall paper and repainting rooms. We have some heavy work to do in preparation but nothing that we can’t help out with before we have to pay some one, such as a plasterer.
- Nominate a home project you’d like to see completed in your home for the chance to win £1,000
- All entries will automatically be entered in to our prize draw to win £100
- Winners will be chosen at the end of this week and contacted via email

I guess I am not eligible as an Ozzie, but good luck to all UK readers.

Looking forward to following your up-coming work on your home Froogs, I always learn something from your blog posts. Love the beautiful tree/bush featured in the last photo, the flowers are just gorgeous, and your yard looks great, well done.
Like Tas Minimalist, being an Ozzie too I'm out of the picture with entering the comp but I certainly wish all those in the UK well who enter.

Would like to enter the garden one……..
Lovely rose bush by the way. I'm collecting flower and rose petals for natural confetti for my Nephews' wedding, some way to go!

Thanks for the link, I've just entered and now have my fingers and toes firmly crossed! My poor living room hasn't been decorated in at least ten years and is now well beyond shabby chic and much more shabby than I'd like…! Have never won a thing in my life but you never know, will shout it from the rooftops of Blogland if I win! x

We are planning to create a veg patch/ kitchen garden and have already chopped down trees to make space. Not planning on it costing anything like £1,000 though!

Thanks for the link. I've entered & said that I'd have the family bathroom done. One of my ex's projects in progress when he left me. I haven't had the money to do much with it, although I have grand plans for doing it up on a small budget.
