DIY quilt giveaway

Hello Dear Reader,

I’ve sewn all day and have finished the top of my scrappy quilt. I still have enough fabric to make another but I’m going to give it away to you instead.

Please use the Rafflecopter thingy to enter. You can do this after midnight tonight.

The prize is a large box of fabric already cut into strips, squares oblongs and other shapes. It is not for the quilt below; that is an example of what you could make with the fabric and shows the quilt I have finished today.

T&Cs - sorry about this but it’s all in the name of fairness.

1. You will need to be a follower or become one to enter.
2. You will also need to leave a comment and enter your name in the Rafflecopter.
3. When I click on your name, your blog list should show that you follow Frugal Queen.
4. The draw will take place at 6pm GMT Sunday 20th July.
5. You will need to email me with your name and address within 24 hours or I will give this away to a randomly selected commenter. If you are the winner and I haven’t heard from you by 6pm Monday 21st July, then the giveaway goes to someone else.
6. UK only due to postage. Sorry xxxx
7. Please make sure you have read all the blog today to understand the prize.

You could make a quilt like this.

Today, I have added a whole box of reels of thread. These are best suited to hand quilting and I’m sure they are fine for machine quilting but I personally can’t get the tension right. So, I’ve added these to the giveaway. I’m also hunting out more fabric to add to the giveaway.

You will have plenty of fabric to make a full sized quilt.

Some fabric is recycled and some is cut from fat quarters. There’s a variety of colours.

There is a variety of sizes too and you will be able to just go wild and make what ever you like.

I will throw in a few goodies too…..they will be a surprise when you open them.

The give away starts at midnight and I will be linking back to this page all week.

Good luck and happy quilting xxxx

Love Froogs xxxx

  2. What a brilliant and very generous giveaway. I hope I'm lucky. I don't have a blog but I've followed you for a while on Bloglovin and I'm following you by email now. I find your blog encouraging when it comes to saving money and planning meals and shopping lists.

  3. What a lovely competition . . . I think I have entered it but being none too technical, I'm not really sure. I keep saying that I must finally get my act together and make a patchwork quilt - I've even saved some pretty dresses that my daughter has grown out of to incorporate into one. I will make one one day but if I am lucky here, then that day would definitely come much sooner as I'd feel the pressure to make it and take a picture to prove it. With very best wishes on a warm, Wiltshire summer evening x

  5. O.M.G all those delicious scraps, I could immerse myself for days. This is a marvelous giveaway Froogs, I do not think that I could part with that amount of fabric scraps. The finished article possibly, probably, I do make scrappy quilts for charity but i love craps too much to give them away.

  6. Oh, I would love to win all those scraps but I understand why you are limiting it to the u.k. It would cost a fortune to mail to Canada, kind of defeating the purpose of being frugal etc. Hope whoever wins it posts a picture when they've made a quilt and we can see what your generosity provided.

  9. I've entered your very kind giveaway. Your quilt is very pretty. You've inspired me to have a look at the scraps I've got and I've enough for a small table cloth - it'll certainly be a talking point! 🙂 As always, love your blog.

  12. What an amazing giveaway. I've taught myself to sew over the last 18 months, and a quilt is on my to-do list, this would be the push I need to get the quilt done by the time winter hits.
