Summer lovin’

Hello Dear Reader,
34 in the shade outside and. 29 indoors with the fan running and I’ve spent 24 hours in bed with a migraine.

Thankfully, and with the aid of a prescription, I could stand up and face daylight by six this evening.

It’s been so warm this evening that we headed to the beach.

His feet and my feet…….nothing better than sand every where. It kind of epitomises a Cornish house in the summer…….full of sand!

This is what my feet will look like until September.

Over to you, what epitomises your home area in the summer?
I promise, I’ll be a lot more productive tomorrow.
Until then,
Love Froogs xxx

  1. I live near the sea too, in Brighton. When it's really hot we like to drive down to the sea in Hove and go for a quick dip - it was lovely yesterday, just floating around in the sea soaking up the evening sun - and all for the price of a £1 parking meter!

  2. Where I live in Australia, the temperature regularly goes over 40c for days. No beach closer than about 600klm. Summer is not pleasant - air conditioning makes life more bearable. Our winter days of late have ranged from 3c to 27c. Very pleasant at the moment - glorious cool nights with mild sunny days. Summer is just around the corner again though. Enjoying it while I can.

  3. As far away from the sea as you can get in the UK. I would love to feel a sea breeze. Here in rural Oxfordshire I can hear the sound of combine harvesters getting on with it before the weather changes.

  4. Best way for you to be productive - take care of yourself 🙂 Hope you're feeling a whole lot better tomorrow. Hugs Jan x P.S. I used to suffer terribly with migraines so my heart felt sympathies and hugs.

  5. Sight of the hills beckoning to be walked upon. Where the trails are shaded by trees and the sound of buzzards soaring on thermal columns let's a soul know he's home.
Glad your migraine has cleared me dear.

  6. Summer here is splashing in our pool, the sound of cicadas, BBQs and long afternoons on the back verandah.

Love the look of joy and relaxation in your photos. And glad your migraine passed.

  7. I hope that my the time you read this the migraine is long gone.

Summer here means a totally different way of doing things. I generally hang the wash in the evening and early morning. Chores are done early and as the humidity rises the air conditioning goes on. I tend to spend summer hiding indoors as i burn in less that 10 minutes.

  8. We live on a river which opens into a small lake and a major canal system. fortunately we have lots of trees on our property to we have shade and cool breezes off the water. We love summer here in Canada as we have winter with lots of snow and cold for about 5 months of the year.

  9. Sympathies on the migraine - makes you want to switch off the sunlight! Our home area is epitomised by early morning walks in the Wyre Forest (lovely amd cool under the trees!) with our hot dog! Lots of fur trimming to minimise the hotness and curtains drawn across the large west facing living room window to keep the house cool!

  10. Walking the dog early in the morning under the shade of the trees in the New Forest, paddling in the sea and taking the ferry across to the Isle of Wight. Love the summer on the south coast of Hampshire.
