Froog’s modelling debut!

Hello Dear Reader,

I recently wrote about finding clothes on a tight budget and went to look around a Bonmarche store in Plymouth. They offered me something to wear for the review and this is what I picked. It’s great for work in these warmer days and cool enough to wear in the evenings too. Thanks for the new top, I think it’s great and as I like you all so much….it’s gone into the wash and now I’m giving it away (size 14 UK only). Leave your name and I’ll pick someone tomorrow and send it. Along with an ark that’s been here for ages whilst I waited for pay day to be able to afford to post it. (Thrift Wizard….apologies - get in touch again lovvie xx)

Finally, where oh where is Hard up Hester? If you are reading, everyone is asking after you and we’re all missing you - get in touch love so we know you’re ok xxxx.

Until tomorrow,

Love Froogs

(Bonmarche sent me the top but my opinions on the great quality are entirely my own)

  2. So glad you are asking about about Hardup Hester, & hope she is alright, would love to hear that she is. Haven't had any luck finding the new blogspot @ suehester51.wordpress.com, has anyone else found her new blog? x

  3. Not having any luck cutting and pasting the Hardup Hester URL-it brings me back to the Google search. Since she deleted her blog, rather than just abandoning it, I'm guessing she is OK…but maybe has had her feelings hurt. Hester, if you are reading this, please check in.

  4. Hi. Bonmarche are great. Good clothes and not too expensive. And not too young looking. Suit us who are in our 50s. I'm not entering because sadly I'm larger than a size 14!I am actually hoping for some advice or general moral support. This is off topic but I don't get many comments on my own blog so hope you don't mind. I have had minor op on my foot and now I'm non-weight bearing for at least a week, possibly two. I am going a bit mad now that the anaesthetic has worn off. I was sick and very tired but now just stir crazy! I am confined to my lounge, even sleeping downstairs. I have got my other half for company thank goodness, andour lovely cat. She is so confused seeing me sleeping on the sofa. She must think me and my other half have fallen out but it's just that I can't use the stairs.I have got the computer out now on the dining room table and I'm sitting at an angle with my left leg out on a footstool. Extreme yoga! I should make a dvd! Help!!

  5. Hi Sandy, i know how you feel. Has the physio not begun yet? It would have helped you if they could show you how to get up and down stairs without putting weight on. I was told a positive mindset helps( which ain't easy when you feel like crud!!) But i began to look at what i could-rather than couldn't do. Start small and celebrate every triumph-i even peeled spuds sitting down, organized my paperwork, read on topics that interested me, took up a hobby. Could you shuffle into the garden for a little bit and treat yourself. Pretend you are on one of those celeb retreats while you recouperate? I know it sounds a bit daft but i do daft things like that..Hope you get well soon.

  6. Like you, I'm dieting and have now lost over 4 stone to be a …size 14. Frugally trying to readjust my wardrobe as my old clothes just don't do it any more (not a complaint!)
