a Rafflecopter giveaway//widget.rafflecopter.com/load.js
Hello Dear Reader,
As promised, I’ve dug around and found some more goodies to add to the giveaway.
I found some vintage 70’s pillowcase fabric and cut it into 5″ and 4″ squares.
I cut one side, turn it round and then use the ruler to make sure I have the exact 5″.
I also deconstructed some 80’s floral pillow cases which will very nearly give you enough fabric to back a lap quilt or a throw. The white flowers are lovely against the cream and contrast well with the green.
I’ve also added some shirt and dress squares. This is what I usually do when I quilt, I use clothes that I’ve bought in charity shops. Oh, and I added a Companion angle. I have three of these…..gifts along the way and I have this one spare to add to the bundle.
Close ups of the lovely vintage fabrics. I love the mix of old and new fabrics.
Here’s the whole bundle. It’s only Wednesday and there will be more!!!!
Here’s how it can all be yours.
Please use the Rafflecopter thingy to enter. You can do this after midnight tonight.
The prize is a large box of fabric already cut into strips, squares oblongs and other shapes. It is not for the quilt below; that is an example of what you could make with the fabric and shows the quilt I have finished today.
T&Cs - sorry about this but it’s all in the name of fairness.
1. You will need to be a follower or become one to enter.
2. You will also need to leave a comment and enter your name in the Rafflecopter.
3. When I click on your name, your blog list should show that you follow Frugal Queen. You do not have to have a blog yourself, it will just show that you follow this blog.
4. The draw will take place at 6pm GMT Sunday 20th July.
5. You will need to email me with your name and address within 24 hours or I will give this away to a randomly selected commenter. If you are the winner and I haven’t heard from you by 6pm Monday 21st July, then the giveaway goes to someone else.
6. UK only due to postage. Sorry xxxx
7. Please make sure you have read all the blog today to understand the prize.

What a lovely thing to do! I'd love to have a go at quilting but I'm worried about cutting the squares in the right size etc as I don't have any special equipment. Still, I think if I had a go with some old fabric and it didn't work, I could turn it into something else. Waste not and all that xxx

What a fantastic giveaway this is shaping up to be!
I just wanted you to know that i'm almost up to date after reading your Blog from the beginning. It was great to read about you moving into your lovely little cottage after all you've done over the years to make that possible.
I've learnt so much from you so far and thank you so much for all the time and care you put into posting for us to read and sharing all your knowledge.

Goodness me Froogs, where do you store it all. Regarding my email, it doesn't have a capital at the beginning (just in case I win something).

A lovely give away. I have just started quilting, mainly EPP but am saving for my sewing machine (I do online surveys and voucher pay outs from that and birthday presents of vouchers means I am half way there to a brand new machine) and currently learning how to handquilt. I've been reading your blog for some time and you truly are an inspiration plus it means the small things I do are no longer quirks (I always fill a flask of hot water instead of repeatedly boiling the kettle, I get samples of things - perfumes and shower gels for the gym, I have always cooked meals that will last several days and I try to take lunch in every day). Anyway, thank you for being so honest and for sharing your life with us.

PS: I'm also slightly incompetent with comments and apparently your doodah for entering the giveaway - please delete any extra entries that I may have made so I am back down to one. 🙂

What a generous giveaway! I'm a new follower but have been a reader for ages. My family are resisting my frugal measures, it's the sound of one hand clapping in my house!

I've just read the date of the draw which is a special day for me so that means I'll have to enter. I've also acquired some batting from the CS which was a 'bargain'. A boost of ready cut squares plus extras may spur me on to do more quilting. I've started dabbling but could do with another kick start.
Love from Mum

Wow! That fabric is sooo reminding me of my parents orange wallpaper in their dining room…had silky green curtains to go with it if I remember correctly…or maybe they were a mustard…will have to check old photos.
