National Trust Free Weekend

Hello Dear Reader,

Just a quick hello before I head off and get weighed at fat fighters. This weekend is the National Trust’s free weekend. It differs from weekends before as you have to go to their website and down load a voucher which you have to redeem when you get there.

You can download your voucher HERE and it admits up to four people.

The terms and conditions are HERE.

The list of properties taking part or not are listed HERE.

Over to you, who else loves the National Trust but rarely goes as it’s so expensive. Who’s a member or a volunteer? Where will you head to? Us? We’ll probably go for a stroll around Lanhydrock house and gardens.

Until tomorrow,

Love Froogs xxxx

  1. We are going to Cragside on Saturday. Me, the daughter and two of her wee pals. Its very expensive and we have so many free beautiful country walks I can't justify membership just yet.

  2. I live in the US and have a NT membership because I believe in what they do and want to support that…I use as much as I can when I am over. Frugal or not, somethings I just think are necessities…

  3. We''ll not be going as we already have plans. We are members as we often visit castles etc nearby using membership so the cost of membership is worth it fir us.

  4. We're on our 3rd year as NT members and love it. We've figured out that with just 3 or 4 visits to their properties the membership is paid, from then on we can visit any property and park for free which is very good value.

  5. Thanks for the info Froogs we are going to take the youngest 2 boys for a day out to Lacock Abbey where they filmed some of the Harry Potter scenes thanks to this offer. We are taking a picnic to keep costs down so the only expense will be the train £16 for 2 adults and 2 children with our railcard.
