Desert Island Discs

Hello Dear Reader,

We’ve given in and lit the fire early as it’s so cold and blogging with a lap top on my lap and trying to keep warm. I’m sure we’ve all listened to Desert Island Discs and often tried to compile our own list. Mine frequently changes. My list will always be a bit random. I love music. I love it recorded, on the i-pod, all round the house, when I’m out on a run and always in the car. As it’s too cold to do much today - here’s my list!

How good was that? You can hear that never forgotten break up scream as Lindsey literally screams out in pain from his core!

Ah! Thanks for that Deano! And! Dearly Beloved sings this to me!

There he is! Plymouth favourite Irishman! Mad Dog Mc Rea in “The Hub”. Union Street is a street full of nightclubs, swilling with drink and drunks, more T&A on display than Vegas! The Hub is in a back street behind Union Street! I like my nightclubs to have sweat dripping down the walls and The Hub will not let you down! Go Mad Dog!

Another son of Devon - Seth Lakeman. My claim to fame too. We saw Seth, in another venue off Union Street, in The Phoenix, a live music pub. Just before he was nominated for a Mercury Music award and every concert there after was a huge sell out affair. We stood and chatted with Seth at the bar and he was chuffed to hear that I’d used Kitty Jay to get students to do some creative writing on myths and legends.

Dick Gaughan - a real favourite album of mine that I played until it was scratched and crackled! Tt still amazes me that we forgive the very richest a-h**** in this country when they became owners of huge swathes of this tiny island when their ancestors gained it by feudalism and violence!

Next Martha Tilston. When my heart is aching I know that God sent this angel to sing to me xxxx

Oh I could go on and on and on! You’ll all have to blog away on this one, so I can listen to your faves. How about you just tell me for now?

Love Froogs xx
