As I’ve been on a low spend with plenty of no-spend days. I’ve had a stock up with Approved Foods. I would give you a word of caution, not every good deal, where ever it is, is a good deal. I use Approved Food about twice a year.

I ‘shop’ with Approved Food with two windows open and I check the prices with Tesco. com to make sure I’m actually getting a good deal. I also check at the end, that I still got a good deal with the £7.50 delivery fee. You can also get a 10% cashback if you buy through Quidco, but that is for new customer only (use a different email account each time) and it doesn’t include a cashback on the total price including delivery, but just for the price of the goods. I spend £44.00 and will get £4.40 back. My delivery was £7.50, so I look at the cashback as offsetting the deliver charge. The full cost of these items would have been £179.40 so I saved £135.40 by shopping with Approved Food and saved a further 10% by shopping through Quidco.

Here’s what I bought. Lots of it might seem frivilous, but it will all get used, either by me or someone I know. Things like apple sauce, often gets eaten for a dessert with yogurt or custard. The instant coffee is great to take on a day out with a flask of boiling water.There are some instant lunches for DB to take to work, some I can eat and some I can’t. Things like olives, they are great in salads and just for a snack.
