Winter warmer giveaway

Hello Dear Reader,

I’m wearing my latest money saver! My jumpers have served me well but eventually they needed replacing. You know my thoughts on money spending. If I need it, if it’s good value, if it’s good quality and if I can afford it, then I will buy it. This fleece is from Bonmarche. I needed something warm that would wash easily, dry quickly on the line or hanging up indoors. It goes with my jeans, it’s smart enough to wear out and about and it soft and cuddly to wear around the house with my pyjamas. A good fleece or jumper will save you money ten times over what you paid for it because you can reach for that before turning on the heating. I’m barefoot because it’s cool but not cold but as the weather cools, I will resort to fluffy socks and slippers. Unlike my previous jumpers, this fleece is really lightweight so I don’t feel bundled up in it. It is comfortable enough and stylish enough to wear anywhere.

If you’d like to try some of Bonmarche’s fleeces or just have something to add to your winter wardrobe, I have a £50 voucher (given specifically and only for the Dear Readers) which you can spend online or in a store. I visited their store to review their customer service and I can assure you they were really helpful. I found that so many shops have given up on women of my age and I neither want to look like a teenager or granny and I found plenty of clothes that I really liked. It fits the remit: affordable, sells what I need and good quality.

To take part in the draw you will need to tweet (see the link below) - it’s simply a ‘t’ and then tweet

#FrugalBonmarche

I will track back through all the tweets with that hashtag and select a name with ‘twitter draw’ and the winner will be selected on Friday evening. The more you tweet and retweet, the more chances you have of winning the voucher. You could wrap up warm for the winter or use the voucher to get some early Christmas shopping done.

I’m loving being warm and wrapped up and to be honest, I’m quite looking forward to some cooler and more seasonal weather and I’m certainly dressed for it. Bonmarche sent me the fleece to review but I genuinely love it and that’s my own opinion. Don’t forget tweet #FrugalBonmarche to enter to win a £50 voucher. Don’t worry if you are out of the UK - they ship worldwide!

Until tomorrow,

Noah’s Ark Giveaway from Zulily.com

Hello Dear Reader,

You’ve got to love Noah! No one believed him but he followed his beliefs and did what was right when everyone thought he was crazy and ignored him!

This lovely toy was sent to me to review and give away by the website www.zulily.com. I was asked to select any thing to the value of £50 for a review of the website. I went and had a look and it’s of the same quality and ilk as ‘not on the high street’. If you were looking for something different for yourself or your children then it’s a great website. I love the dressing up clothes and some of the clothes for children were unusual and I’ve not seen anything like them before. I could have picked some clothes but I love wooden toys or infact, any toys that all children to create their own narrative and these little animals on their ark can have any story they want them to have.

I’m giving them away! These can go anywhere in the world and here are the T&Cs!!!

1. You must be a follower which means when I click on your link in your comment I will clearly be able to see that you are a follower of Frugal Queen.

2. You must leave a comment.

3. If you have a Facebook account, I would love you to link this to your Facebook page and ask people to come over to my blog.

4. If you have a twitter account, I would also like you to Tweet this and ask people to retweet so people come over to my blog.

5. The draw will be on the 31st of May and you will need to email me on that day if you have won…..if you don’t I will draw another name.

I’m going to leave this blog post up for two days and I’ll link it for the next seven days. This will also feature in all of my posts for the next seven days. The draw will be on Friday 31st May and will be posted on the next day.

Over to you Dear Reader………….sign up, Facebook this and Tweet and retweet please. If you could put a link on your blog, then that would be helpful. I really want this beautiful toy to go to some children who will love the story of Noah just as I do. When you leave a comment it would be great if you could mention where you are……………just the county, state or district will do.

This toy was given to me by Zulily but my thoughts on their website are my own and I genuinely thought their products were different and some are fascinating!

Until tomorrow,

Senor Elephanto is off to a new home!!

Hello Dear Reader,

This sea lion is costing me a fortune in fish!

You can laugh sealo-green but have you seen the cost of pilchards these days?

Saucy girl Minty the lamb has out stayed her welcome, she’s never out of the shower.

And as for Senor Elephanto? I’m a slave in my own home answering to his beck and call and he’s eaten all of the buns!

I used the random number generator and out of ninety one comments, the random number selector chose comment number twenty. They are being packed off to Vixen 307 and her blog world of Shabbily Every After. All I need now is for her to send me her address and this rowdy bunch will be on their way to create a row at her house.

I’ve enjoyed their company and I’ll be happy when they are in their new home! Bye bye - Sealo-green, bye bye Minty and good riddance to the stropmeister Senor Elephanto! I’ll be glad of the peace and to get the TV remote back!!!!

Until tomorrow,

Christmas Giveaway for followers old and new!!!!

Hello Dear Reader,

Meet my new friends! I often get offered things to review and when Ikea offered me some toys, I thought one of you might like them. I love this little guy and his friends! They are all Circus characters and here is sea lion, astride his ball and he’s obviously been very good as he has a fish in his mouth. I like toys that create a story which can be told in so many ways. As I was going to review them, I thought I would give them a thorough playing with!

He told me all about his day, how he brought the house down with his performance. He likes the circus and he gets his own trailer, masseuse and as many mackerel lattes as he wants. He is a bit of a diva and won’t perform without a drum roll and a full band playing ‘I did it my way.’

There are members of the further cast and they were in fine voice and we gave a choral rendition Queen’s ‘Don’t stop me now’ because as you can see, we were having a good time!

After plenty of singing, we had a good gossip and I’ve heard that the pay is terrible and they are going to have a lightening strike when they get to Cirencester and won’t perform until they get higher wages and a lot more chocolate!

Senor Elephanto told me he loves nothing more than to rest his trunk in his Winnebago and read a good book.

Well that was fun! Anyone else want to send me a pile of toys to play with? Now, over to you! These are not for me but I want to give them away as I imagine some one reading this would love these for your children or grandchildren and this could save you some money at Christmas, not that these were expensive in the first place. They are really cute and as much as I would like to play with these a lot more, I’m sure a small child would get a lot of enjoyment from these toys and would love the book. The winning recipient will get the lot, the sea lion, senor elephanto, the lamb and the book and I’m sure they will be enjoyed for years.

Over to you, here’s what you have to do.

1. You have to be a follower - if not, become one! If you are not a follower, then Senor Elephanto will not put you in the draw
2. Leave a comment here about what you’d like for Christmas and no you can’t have Piers Brosnan!

I will leave a link to this blog for the rest of the week and I will draw a name out of something hattish on Friday night. These will be sent anywhere in the world.

I’ll be back Monday night to give everyone the chance of leaving a comment and look out for me and DB in the Daily Express tomorrow.

Until Monday night,

Love Froogs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
