Hello Dear Reader,

I am late tonight!!! I’ve been bent double over a hot Toyota, swearing and sweating away over my oh, so nearly finished queen size quilt. I then had to patch in the edges on the back as I didn’t have a piece of backing big enough and then…………..I had to patch in the front to make sure it was all entirely square. Quilting such a big quilt is like trying to manoeuvre a petulant shopping trolley through a sloping car park! The feckin’ thing seems to go where it wants to go and I’m struggling on the other side pulling it in the direction I want it to go. Anyway! I got there in the end. I’m going to shred a lovely shirt into strips at the next available opportunity and make the binding.

Well there we are! I’m off to console myself with some intravenous Pinot Grigio and bother Dearly Beloved in unmentionable ways and normal service will resume tomorrow.
